Your scoffing mind would give an instant reaction, “Hell no!” when you apprehend: ‘Everything happens for a reason.’ When you took birth, it had a reason. When you cried for the first time, it had a reason. When you started eating, it had a reason. When you started walking, it had a reason. When you went to school and then in a university, it had a reason. When you went through your first breakup or heartbreak, it had a reason and when you started earning your bread and butter that too, my dear friend, had a reason.
It seems very surprising that our life is what can be termed as a ‘reason.’ We cannot spend a single day without any reason. If REASON is a part of our life then why can’t we give us a reason to live our life on our terms and conditions? Why can’t we live happily? Why do we think about the past and future and crib over certain things? Tell me, why would someone suffer from a deadly disease? Did that happen for a reason? Why would a small child suffer due to hunger? Did that happen for a reason? I know it’s not your fault, but the circumstances and people force you to do so.
Now, let’s talk about the question – Do I believe that everything happens for a reason? Even though it’s something that no one can prove, but I would love to believe it.
There are only two kinds of lies:
- Lies that one says to hide something
- Lies that one says to protect something
And I come under the second category as it gives me a positive outlook to move on. We people are always struggling to get a balance between emotions and intellect. We keep on fighting with our mind. We always need something or someone to keep us motivated. Why we need something or someone?
This is a false truth when you really need a reason to:
1. Forgive and Forget easily
There are times in life when you feel stuck and cliched over something. Screaming and digging up your face in the pillow asking “Why me?” Then tell yourself “calm down my dear soul because everything happens for a reason” feel blessed that you are a chosen soul, take it as a reward and move on like a Warrior. Consider thinking like this: If you were not an essential character of that story or incident, then the other characters wouldn’t have even existed, leaving the story incomplete forever!
2. Give a positive outlook towards Life
Many times we walk like a zombie and slumber while doing our work. Do you know why this happens? It happens because we move to and fro between our past and future and never think about our present that is full of surprises and happiness. Keep all the negative emotions away from yourself and never let them come even a bit close to you. Just follow the
principle of Live and Let Live.
3. Know that tomorrow will be better
Whatever happened, just let it go and believe that tomorrow is better even much better than you expect. Because whatever happened, it happened for a ‘reason.’ Believe that the situation you are going to face today is just because it has a reason, can be bad or good it really doesn’t matter, when you know your tomorrow is going to be better, let it happen, go with the flow, one day the waves will be in your favor. This is the only reason that keeps me motivated all the time.
4. Confess like a story
When you go through a bad situation, you always want someone to listen to your words, and if it doesn’t happen, you keep on adding things in your mind, and one day it spoils everything. Things get even better when you confess and move on like a strong-willed soul.
On my part, whenever I shared something, I knew this conversation would end one day because everything happens for a reason. Realize that if a door is closed, it’s just because what was behind it, wasn’t meant for you. Sometimes life takes a wrong turn to get you to the right place.
It can work in both ways; you have to decide how you want to use it for yourself. Just give a reason.
